Corpus Christi Police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old man who died from gunshot wounds at the Cos-Way Bait and Tackle shop on the JKF Causeway, Friday morning. Witnesses say they heard gunfire around 2:30 a.m. and found the victim shot in the chest. Officers say the suspect drove away in a dark colored compact car. The victim is a resident of Corpus Christi. Investigators are interviewing witnesses, but no arrests have been made.
