Water Main Break Causes Major Washout Johnny Heath Corpus Christi News Blog

Crews from the City of Corpus Christi worked to repair a large washout on Alameda St. near Chase Dr. early Tuesday morning. The gaping hole is about five feet deep. Just before 5:30 a.m. a small SUV drove over the area and became half way submerged. The driver was not injured.The area has been blocked, it is unclear how long repairs will take. Workers say nearby residents might experience decreased water pressure.
