Thousands Left Without Power Overnight Johnny Heath Corpus Christi News Blog

Downed power lines in the area of Whitecap Blvd on North Padre Island left 2,300 people without power and caused traffic to be blocked off overnight, says AEP. Officials say a Pelican landed on a high voltage wire downing the lines and as of 6 a.m. AEP confirmed that there were about 1,100 homes still without power.
